prologos - I appreciate that many here have no interest/belief in the Bible. I'm simply trying to show any JW's/lurkers that from a purely scriptural perspective, what they're being fed regarding Romans 6:7 is a blatant lie. Whether it's factual or not, is not my reason for highlighting it - I dearly wish to let others see that their self-appointed governing body in Brooklyn are religious charlatans.

December Study Watchtower - Preparing to Reveal a New Light?
by The Searcher inthe jw/wtbt's anti-scriptural & anti-christ teaching that "a person's own death wipes out their sins" (based on their lie that romans 6:7 is to be interpreted literally) appears to have had a little wedge inserted into it.
despite making numerous accurate references to the fact that 1st century christians had figuratively died to sin, the svengalis at the top of the brooklyn pyramid point-blank refuse to discuss/cite/quote romans 6:7 and its true meaning.

Hi Nic - I appreciate your thinking, but weeks after I'd discussed Romans 6:7 with a Ministerial Servant, he came up to me and said that he wished I'd never mentioned it to him! Still later, he actually said that his "progressive Bible study" had terminated the study, because he'd reasoned that all he had to do was eventually die, and not have to do what J.W.'s were doing.
The fact remains that J.W.'s are equating the benefits of their own death with that of Christ's - and it hasn't dawned on them! I reckon it's worth enlightening them.

Page 10, par. 9 & 10 - Because, as Paul writes, Christians have "died with reference to sin." (Read Romans 6:1, 2.) While they were still alive on earth, how could it be said of them that they had "died with reference to sin"? (Why don't you read Romans 6:7?)
10 God applied the ransomto Paul and others of his day....... But Paul could speak of them while they were still alive and serving God on earth as having "died with reference to sin.".....It was similar with anointed Christians, who could consider themselves "dead with reference to sin but living with reference to God by Christ Jesus." (Rom. 6:9, 11) Their way of life was not as it once was. They were no longer obeying the dictates or impulses of their sinful desires. They had died to that previous way of life. (Did you read Romans 6:7 yet?)
Page 10, par. 11 - What of us? Well, before we became Christians, we often sinned, perhaps not realizing how wrong or bad our actions were in God’s eyes. So we too could be said to have "died with reference to sin." (Hellooooooooo!! Romans 6:7 is just begging to be read!!!)
Page 10, Par. 12 - Or am I dead with reference to sin? Am I living with reference to God by Christ Jesus?’ (Are your brain cells dead too? Just read Romans 6:7 why don't you?)
Page 11, par. 13 - Paul was inspired to write to them: "Neither go on presenting your bodies to sin as weapons of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, also your bodies to God as weapons of righteousness." (Rom. 6:13) (Don't tell me they've deleted Romans 6:7 from the Revised New World Translation. Groan!!!)

Hypocrisy of the governing body & abuse of J.W.'s
by The Searcher inhere is what the present "faithful & discreet slave" spewed out just a few years ago:.

w06 3/15 p. 24 par. 12 “Each One Will Carry His Own Load” - "The source of pay and the location of the employment also enter into the picture. For example, would a Christian who is a self-employed contractor bid on a job that involves painting one of the churches of Christendom and thereby share in helping to promote false religion?"
Remember who the WTBTS sold their New Zealand Branch Office to?Yes, the Elim Church!!! They also recently sold an Assembly Hall in the U.S. to another religion!!The Pharisees in Brooklyn make the rules - and the money. If you're a self-employed J.W. trying to earn an honest living, don't you dare carry out maintenance on Babylon the Great's properties. -

Today's Daily Text - Repetition of Lies From Watchtower Articles
by The Searcher inif you repeat a lie often enough, many will accept it as truth.
the org successfully employs this strategy by regurgitating previous watchtower articles into bite-size chunks, and presenting it as a "spiritual starter" to the day for the faithful to swallow.

LOL, by extension, the "people" now include non-anointed J.W.'s.
Why? Because they've got to be included in the recruitment work which the org (out of the other side of its mouth) claims was given to their elite section of Christianity - the 144,000!
One lie spawns other lies. They never learn.

"We Must Obey the Org - Rather Than God!"
by The Searcher inbefore geoffrey jackson of the governing body was questioned by the australian royal commission, he was asked whether he wanted to swear on the bible or take an affirmation; he chose to swear on the bible.
the present governing body of jehovah's witnesses (including jackson) deems that swearing on the bible is a matter of conscience!.
w03 1/15 p. 21 questions from readers - "is it scripturally acceptable for a christian to place his hand on the bible and swear to tell the whole truth in court?

The present governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses (including Jackson) deems that swearing on the Bible is a matter of conscience!
w03 1/15 p. 21 Questions From Readers - "Is it Scripturally acceptable for a Christian to place his hand on the Bible and swear to tell the whole truth in court?" "Each individual must make a personal decision in this regard. (Galatians 6:5) However, there is no Biblical objection to taking an oath to tell the truth in court." (edited)
The governing body clearly practices what they themselves preach, rather than what the Bible teaches!
Their inspired expressions take precedence over Christ's.
(Matthew 5:34-37) "However, I say to you: Do not swear at all, neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne; nor by earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. Do not swear by your head, since you cannot turn one hair white or black. Just let your word ‘Yes’ mean yes, your ‘No,’ no, for what goes beyond these [yes or no] is from the wicked one."
Which parts of "do not" and "at all" are hard to interpret or understand?
Using the governing body's reasoning, when Christians are told not to commit adultery, (Romans 2:22) it is in fact down to the individual's conscience to guide them!!!

Symeon [Peter] has related thoroughly how God for the first time turned his attention to the nations to take out of them a people for his name.—Acts 15:14. "At a meeting of the (a) governing body of first-century Christians held in 49 C.E., the disciple James stated the above. This new people bearing (b) Jehovah’s name would include both Jewish and non-Jewish believers. (Rom. 11:25, 26a) Later, Peter wrote: c) "You were once not a people, but now you are God’s people." Peter outlined their mission by stating: (d) "You are ‘a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for special possession, that (e) you should declare abroad the excellencies of the One who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." (1 Pet. 2:9,10) (f) They were to sound forth the praises of the One (g) they represented and publicly glorify his name. (h) They were to be courageous (i) witnesses for Jehovah, the Universal Sovereign, "to the most distant part of the earth."—Acts 1:8; Col. 1:23. w14 11/15 5:6, 7
a) No such term even hinted at in the Bible,
b) No. People were to bear Christ's name - Acts 11:26.
c), d), e), f), g), h) are all (according to J.W.'s) the so-called "anointed class". Accepting the org's interpretation, only these ones can be "God's people" and the preaching work must logically then be their work - no one else's.
i) False. 28 verses command Christians to witness for Christ. Not one scripture tells Christians to witness for God! (Acts 1:8)

Idiotic elder training video
by CookieMonster inso i stumbled across this the other day, please excuse me if it has already been posted.
don't know what you think but i found this idiotic, casting stereotypes and dangerous.
so the scenario goes something like this, young brother finds himself in the company of a young lady at a bar.

LOL - the WTBTS's lawyers claim "clergy-penitent privilege" and confidentiality in pedophile court-cases.
The "clergy" immediately tells the penitent that they'll tell all their fellow elders about his fornication!
Yes, "confidentiality" at its best. The courts should be shown this video to highlight the org lawyers' false claims.

by The Searcher inthere must be an abundance of scriptures just waiting to be reworded by the magnificent seven in brooklyn.
here are a few i'd offer.
i'd love to hear suggestions for other "revisions" by my fellow contributors here.. (psalm 110:4) "jehovah has sworn an oath, and he will not change his mind: "you are a priest forever in the manner of melchizedek, but you will be joined by another 144,000 melchizedek-type king/priests.

(Matthew 6:24) "No one can slave for two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stick to the one and despise the other. You cannot slave for the org and for Riches."
(Matthew 18:15) "Moreover, if your brother commits a sin, go and reveal his fault between you and the body of elders.
(Mark 3:29) "But whoever blasphemes against the WTBTS has no forgiveness forever but is guilty of everlasting sin."
(John 14:16) "And I will ask the Father and he will give you another helper to be with you forever, the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses."
(John 14:26) "But the helper, the G.B., which the Father will send in my name, that one will teach you all things and bring back to your minds all the things I told you - via iPads and the Watchtower Online Library."
(Acts 4:12) "Furthermore, there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved - except Jehovah's Witnesses."
(Romans 6:7) "For the one who has physically died has been acquitted from his sin, and by extension, supplies his own ransom."
(2 Corinthians 9:7) "Let each congregation do just as the organization has directed, and hand over their excess funds to "mother", for God loves a cheerful giver."
(Colossians 2:4) "I am saying this so that only the G.B may delude you with persuasive arguments."
(1 Timothy 2:5) "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the G.B. of Jehovah's Witnesses..."

Divergent - I've heard some of Herd's historical stuff, but based on what I've seen and heard of him since he received the first half of his "king/priest" assignment/title, he gives me the strong vibe that he knows his corporation is not what it claims to be.
